ABOUT US
Who We Are:
March Eight Music is a management company built for the people behind the music. More specifically: female and gender diverse producers, engineers and composers. Because if you’ve spent more than five minutes in a studio (or this industry), you’ll know... there are A LOT of men. And while they are doing their thing, there is a whole group of incredibly talented people who have been overlooked, underestimated or just straight up not given the same opportunity. That’s why this company exists.
And let's be clear, this isn't about ticking diversity boxes. It's about working with exceptional talent and making sure they’re seen, heard and paid properly.
We manage careers - not just calendars. That means finding the right opportunities, negotiating fair deals, building long-term strategies and making sure my clients aren’t just busy… but actually building something sustainable. But it's not just about management. It's about challenging how things are done, open doors that have been closed for too long and push forward talent that should have been front and centre all along. We work with my clients to cut through the noise, back their talent and make sure they get the recognition (and pay) they deserve. Simple as that.
What We Do:
It's not random. March 8th is International Women's Day - and our founders birthday. We launched the company on that day as a statement and a reminder of what this is about: breaking barriers, opening doors and changing who gets to make the music.
Why The Name:
Why We Do It:
Because the industry still looks the way it did 20 years ago. And the numbers? Still not great. Roughly 3-5% of producers globally are women. Engineers? Even lower. Which means most of the music you hear is still being made by men. So yeah - there’s a gap and a lot of work to be done. And instead of talking about it in panels and instagram posts, we decided to actually build something that changes it and that's how March Eight Music started.
THE TEAM
Alongside running March Eight Music, I take on freelance and consultancy work across the wider music industry. This is separate from my management roster - I work with artists and music companies on a range of projects, from editorial playlist curation and project management to day-to-day artist support and jury work.
And just to be clear - this side of what I do isn't exclusively focused on women or gender diverse talents. I work with anyone doing great work (yes, even the men).
