AMANDA KIFLAY
FOUNDER & PRODUCER/ENGINEER MANAGER
Hi - I’m Amanda, the person behind March Eight Music.
I’m originally from Stockholm, and I’ve spent the last 8+ years working across the music industry in A&R, editorial curation and talent management - so I’ve seen how it works from a few different angles. Some of it’s great, and some of it… could definitely use a shake up.
I started out in A&R at Sony Music Publishing in Scandinavia, where I got to scout, sign and develop some incredible talent - including people who’ve gone to work with artists like Megan The Stallion, DaBaby, Headie One etc.
Along the way I’ve been part of projects that led to multiple #1 songs across the Nordics and a #1 UK album, plus a “Song of the Year” win at the Swedish Music Publishers Awards. In 2021, I was also named Top 20 Under 30 by Nordic Music Biz. I’ve since been invited to sit on juries for the Swedish Music Publishers Awards, and I’m currently in my third year as a jury member for the Swedish Grammy.
In 2022, I moved to London and started March Eight Music - a management company focused on female and gender diverse producers and engineers, because that side of the industry still looks…pretty unbalanced.
Alongside that, I consult as an editorial playlist curator for Apple Music and take on consultancy projects across the wider industry. Last year, I also stepped in as Day-to-Day Manager for Zara Larsson during her European promotional run.
More recently, I was selected for PRS Foundation’s POWER UP programme, supporting black music professionals and creatives pushing for change in the industry.
Overall, I’m just here to work with great talent, build things properly and hopefully shift the industry a little along the way.
